In this black and white elevation rendering, the area near Danbury has numerous dark channels draining to the south that are overprinted by the Housatonic River draining in a south eastern direction. Within the southbound drainages are lumps and bumps of bedrock. Prominent large bare hills scraped of soils are called Monadnocks. The bumps in the floodways are more like mad rocks.
